"Get Up! (Earlier the Night Is Over)" is a 1990 song recorded by Belgian grouping Technotronic featuring Ya Child Yard. It was released equally the 2nd unmarried from the band's debut album, Pump Up the Jam: The Album (1989) on which it features as the second rail. The unmarried was very successful in many countries, becoming a top 10 hitting in Commonwealth of australia, Canada, and the US and topping the chart in Belgium, Finland, Spain and Switzerland. In 1998 and 1999, information technology was re-released respectively nether the title "Get Up (the '98 Sequel)" and "Get Upwards (the 1999 Sequel)". It contains a vocal sample of James Dark-brown's "Go Up, Go Into It, Become Involved".[1] In 2007, the song was covered past Global Deejays (featuring Technotronic) who achieved a minor success in French republic.[2]

Information technology certainly seems that style. This is less rap and more of an orthodox pop song. A stiff chorus and one of the biggest bass sounds around. Fantabulous."[7] Pop Rescue stated that "Get Upwardly! (Earlier the Nighttime Is Over" "isn't so dissimilar" to "Pump Up the Jam", "although plays more on the bass line, and gives Ya Kid K the vocalist credit that she works hard to earn – rapping, singing and writing the song."[eight]

Nautical chart performance [edit]

"Get Up! (Earlier the Nighttime Is Over" was very successful on the charts on several continents. It went to number-1 in Belgium, Finland, Spain and Switzerland, equally well as on the Eurochart Hot 100. In add-on, information technology reached number two in Austria, France, West Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands and the United kingdom of great britain and northern ireland. In the latter, it peaked in its 2d calendar week at the U.k. Singles Chart, on Feb 4, 1990.[nine] It was held off reaching the top spot by Sinead O'Connor'south "Nothing Compares 2 U". Outside Europe, the single reached number-one on the Canadian RPM Dance/Urban chart too equally in Zimbabwe. On the US Billboard Hot 100, "Become Up!" managed to reach number seven and on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play, it peaked at number 2. In Commonwealth of australia and New Zealand, it went to number vii. The vocal was awarded with a gold record in the U.s., after 500,000 singles were sold, and a silver record in French republic and the Uk, with a auction of 205,000 and 200,000 units.

Music video [edit]

A music video was produced to promote the single. It features model Felly lipsynching the chorus with blue lipstick and De Quincey playing the keyboards in the background. The video was later published on Technotronic's official YouTube channel in June 2010. It has received more than than 49,9 1000000 views every bit of September 2021.[10]
